Prunus armeniaca

Prunus armeniaca

Apricot is a stone fruit species and it is one of the most valuable stone fruits in terms of nutritional and biological values. This cultural fruit tree comes from China. It was first mentioned in about 2000 BC. In Central European countries, it was only mentioned around the 14th century. Over time, it found its way to us, especially in areas with milder winters where wine is grown. Apricots contain a large amount of biologically active substances.
